News from the Band Updated July, 2004 20th Anniversary of the Band!!! 2002 marked the 20th anniversary of the band! We would like to thank all the the people who have come to see us play over the years in all the many clubs across Connecticut. We did a lot of things to celebrate, including the release of the new disc BLACK CAT TALE and the live CD called LIVE IN WEST HAVEN. New Gigs for November and December are here .,New layout for the site and links on the Publicity page and a bunch of new pics from the last two year adventures, are here..check it out! - Many thanks to Steve for the new pics! Tim Greg and Pete would like to thank Mike and Don Payton of the Brotherhood Blues Band for jamming with us at Connies in Derby on 9/19...lets record it next time!!! Open MIC night at Mr. P's !! Murry now hosts the Open Mic Jam, Every Thursdas at MR.P's in Stratford! Bring your axe and join MTW for Drink Specials , food and a whole lot of blues... Road stuff.. DERRINGER! What the guys are up to this year.. Murry, Pete and Greg made a rare appearance at The Boxcar in Southport for the Tuesday night blues jam ...MTW gig there in the fall has been booked for November. Taking time out from working on the new disc, Greg has been working on a bunch of new tunes with Day on guitar look for a CD out soon, Greg has also been producing for several Danbury bands. Mark I. has also been recording tracks at Greg's studio. Taking over the rythm guitar slot in the MTW blues band is Day, also on board for some selected blues gigs is Pete on rythem guitar and J.D. from Tin Roof on sax. Greg also made his guitar debut at a blues gig at Antonio's in Fairfield. Ed has been playing drums on a number of these gigs as well as the open mic jam at Mr P's in Stratford and Murphy's Law in Bridgeport. Ed and Americo have a great freeform jazz project called The Other People, you can can check out their website via the link on the links page. Pete and Ed made a bunch of rare appearances at Topside and the Beachcomber in Milford, and Porter's in Westbrook. A good time was had by all... the 'power duo' will be back in the fall for more noise... In another rare out of band appearance Pete and Tim joined local accoustic favorite Meg Hackett on stage at Jacob Marley's in Orange for three tunes in March. .. Mark I. as well as rejoining MTW for a few tunes after a long absence has also been jamming with Billy Twyford at Calypso in Branford..a new project for Mark is reportedly in the works.. R.I.P ANIMAL...You will be missed. 2004..it's one hell of a year....keep the faith!
